Wiring Diagram For 6 Pin Relay

By | January 26, 2023

A relay is an electromechanical switch that is controlled by an electrical current. Relays are used to control circuits that are powered by a higher voltage than the control circuit. For example, a relay can be used to control a motor that is powered by 120 volts AC, using a control circuit that is powered by 5 volts DC.

Relays are typically used in applications where it is necessary to control a high-power circuit from a low-power circuit. They are also used to isolate the control circuit from the high-power circuit. This is important for safety reasons, as it prevents the high-power circuit from damaging the control circuit.

Relays are available in a variety of sizes and shapes. They can be single-pole, double-pole, or triple-pole. They can also be normally open or normally closed. The type of relay that is used depends on the application.

The following is a wiring diagram for a 6-pin relay:

6-pin relay wiring diagram

The 6 pins on the relay are labeled as follows:

1. Common (C) 2. Normally Open (NO) 3. Normally Closed (NC) 4. Coil (A) 5. +V (B+) 6. -V (B-)

The common (C) pin is the terminal that is connected to the circuit that is being controlled. The normally open (NO) pin is the terminal that is connected to the load when the relay is not energized. The normally closed (NC) pin is the terminal that is connected to the load when the relay is energized. The coil (A) pin is the terminal that is connected to the control circuit. The +V (B+) pin is the terminal that is connected to the positive voltage supply. The -V (B-) pin is the terminal that is connected to the negative voltage supply.

To connect a 6-pin relay, you would first connect the common (C) pin to the circuit that is being controlled. You would then connect the normally open (NO) pin to the load. You would then connect the normally closed (NC) pin to the load. You would then connect the coil (A) pin to the control circuit. You would then connect the +V (B+) pin to the positive voltage supply. You would then connect the -V (B-) pin to the negative voltage supply.

Once the relay is connected, you can energize the coil (A) pin to control the load. When the coil is energized, the normally open (NO) pin will be connected to the load and the normally closed (NC) pin will be disconnected from the load. When the coil is de-energized, the normally open (NO) pin will be disconnected from the load and the normally closed (NC) pin will be connected to the load.
