Making a Crossover Cable Diagram
A crossover cable is a type of cable that is used to connect two devices that are of the same type, such as two computers or two routers. Crossover cables are also used to connect a device to a switch or hub. Crossover cables are different from standard Ethernet cables in that they have the transmit and receive wires reversed on one end of the cable. This allows the two devices to communicate with each other. To make a crossover cable, you will need two pieces of Cat5e or Cat6 cable, a wire stripper, and a crimping tool. 1. Cut the cables to the desired length. 2. Strip the outer sheath of each cable back about 1 inch. 3. Find the pairs of wires inside the cable. Each pair of wires will be twisted together. 4. Separate the pairs of wires. 5. Line up the wires from one cable with the wires from the other cable. 6. Make sure that the transmit and receive wires on one end of the cable are reversed. 7. Crimp the ends of the cables together. You can now use the crossover cable to connect the two devices. Here is a diagram of a crossover cable:How To Make A T1 Crossover Cable Sh Run
